Spoon is a national, online food pubication with its focus on college students and their lifestyle. In addition to being a platform for creative writing, it serves as an instructional site helping to educate on matters of professional writing, pubishing, editing, event planning, and marketing. As one of the first writers on staff at the Spoon JMU chapter I have had the opportunity to produce content, initiate communinty outreach, plan and promote events, and recruit new members to help a relatively new chapter grow.
